Whenever I read a review this good, I always think that some body is working for the company so first let me assure you that I don't work for Coleman or Amazon. I ordered our new tent on Memorial Day and it arrived on the 3rd. GREAT SHIPPING! My son in law came to get our granddaughter at 5 and we set it up. It took us 40 minutes because the directions aren't crystal clear, but using the picture and my minimal knowledge of tents it went together. Next time will probably be 15 minutes. Anyway....the weather called for 0% chance of rain so I figured it could go up and be sealed, but within 30 minutes of going up we had the most "Gawd awful" storm I've seen in quite some time. The winds were bending over the maples in our yard so I looked out the kitchen window and the tent was flying. All the tent stakes with the exception of 3 rainfly stakes had come out of the ground and the tent looked like a tethered balloon hovering about 18" off the ground and was being whipped around so hard I actually thought of the wizard of oz. The sides were bending in and the rainfly was flapping and I thought "That's the fastest I've ever lost $200,and I'm going to have to go back to looking for a tent again." ( I spent several months reviewing and looking at tents that would hold all 6 of us and keep all the whiners happy over our two week camping trip through the mid west.) But anyway, the rain and hail subsided after an hour and a half, so I went out into the yard expecting a foot of water in the tent and rips throughout. NOT A DROP OF WATER! The tent was askew, the stakes out of the ground, a couple fiberglass tent poles were undone and flattened and the tarp underneath had blown out, but NO water. I'm amazed. I don't know how well it's going to work over a two week period but I'm sold. It hasn't been sealed yet, but I did get better tent stakes and will carry a plastic sheet or something to cover the extensive mesh top and keep heat in at night because it gets coooold in the desert at night, but I've made up my mind that I really love this tent! Who would have thought something made in China could make me happy?? We're ready to hit the road at the end of the month and I don't have to research tents anymore! The 12x12 is hard to find, but the smaller versions are everywhere. Buy it and love it!
