Alpine Type-S SPS-17C2 - Car speaker - 50 Watt - 2-way - coaxial - 6.5" Review

Coupled with Alpine's SPS-69C3 in the rear, the sound in my car is quite amazing. Installation on my 94 Accord Sedan was fairly simple - just don't be afraid to apply some pressure when removing the front door panels. If you're not into trunkshaking music but quality sound at normally tolerable levels, these are a great choice for a great price. And just in case it matters, my music is played from my Sony Ericsson w810i phone connected to my car stereo through a cd player adapter that goes into the cassette deck. As stated earlier, the sound (warm bass, clear mids & highs) from this combo is impressive.

Decent tent, but had not realized it was for a child. I used it once and gave it to friends with kids. Easy set-up and light-weight. Instead of giving dimensions, it would be helpful to say if it's for an adult or child.

Coleman Elite Evanston 8 Tent Review

Coleman Elite Evanston 8 Tent
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This is our third Coleman tent. We knew exactly what we were getting, and were not disappointed. Since we had a larger tent, we wanted something that would fit the campground sites a little better. The directions on this tent were not good, and the diagrams are pitiful, but we already knew how to put it together. For one thing, you should stake the floor before you put up the tent poles. Also, don't put the gray door pole in until the black poles are settled in their pins. We were very impressed with the "awning" as it provides a place to sit out of the sun, and keeps the rain out of the tent. We had rainy, windy weather and no leaks. But the best part is the hinged door. If you have tried to unzip a tent door when you are carrying a child or dog, or even a flashlight, then you can understand the advantage of just pulling on the handle. The "ceiling light" is also a great addition, although our remote didn't work. We probably would have lost it anyway.

The Coleman Elite Evanston 8 Tent is perfect for scout troops, family reunions, and other group camping adventures. From the built-in lighting system, to the hinged door and Auto-Roll window design, to Coleman's WeatherTec system guaranteed to keep out wind and rain, the Coleman Elite Evanston 8 Tent is packed with features for comfort and convenience at the campsite. The tent sleeps 8 people comfortably, with a footprint of 12'x12' and a center height of 6'2". The hinged door swings open and closed; it includes a rigid pole frame support structure that is easy to install and take down. An overlapping door flap helps keep out insects when closed. The integrated LED lighting system provides a bright, useful light -- enough to read by at night -- with 3 settings (High, Low, and Nightlight). Coleman's Comfort System allows control of airflow with vented Cool-Air Port/Cooler Port, privacy vent window, interior gear pocket and electrical access port. Color-coded 11mm, 7.9mm, and 6.3mm fiberglass poles, continuous pole sleeves plus InstaClip attachments and an exclusive pin-and-ring design assure quick and easy setup even for beginners. Coleman's new Auto-Roll Window lets you instantly roll windows up, partially up to your liking, or all the way down, to suit your privacy or ventilation preference. "Negative-angle" windows allow the window to be partially or fully open during a mild rain: a primary structural pole creates an overhang to protect the window and provide ventilation and viewing during an afternoon shower or gentle nighttime rain.

Stansport "Black Granite" Star-Light Tent with Rainfly Review

Stansport Black Granite Star-Light Tent with Rainfly
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This tent is surprisingly good. Stansport is best known for low end tents so I was not sure if the quality would be there. I am a seasoned backpacker and I needed a replacement for my 30 year old Eureka Timberline which was too heavy and no longer waterproof. I liked the light weight and large floor space of the Star-Lite so I bought it over better known brands. I also like the full rain fly design. Most tents have partial rain flys so your sleeping bag can contact the side of the tent and get wet. I'm a little concerned of the possibility for splash during a heavy downpour or leakage passed the vestibule zipper but other than that, I'm pretty happy with my choice. The set up is a little more complicated than my Timberline but it is not too bad. There is an error in the instructions which refers to a rain fly pole. No such pole exists and it's not needed. I really like the compact size and light weight. Most backpacking tents are wider when rolled up and they weigh one to 2 pounds more.

Coleman Evanston 4 Tent Review

Coleman Evanston 4 Tent
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Let me break it down:
The size: Fits queen size air mattress with a little room to spare. Wonderful.
The structure: It was pretty easy to go up. Wasn't anymore difficult than any other 2 pole tent. The poles seemed to be pretty decent quality for a Coleman brand and there wasn't any bending the first time it went up.
Ventilation: It breathed really well. Limited condensation on cold fall morning.
Leakage: N/A It didn't rain the weekend we used this tent, so I can't be for sure. With the right waterproofing spray, I'm sure you will be fine.
To be honest, I really like this tent. The only issue is the rain fly. The extra "cover" on the front of the tent is a nightmare. My boyfriend and I are both tall people. Generally when you step out of a tent you go from crouched down to immediately standing up. With this particular rain fly you are unable to do this. We found ourselves waddling for the first couple of steps. This is particularly difficult for those 2am bathroom breaks and lack of balance. It's difficult to find a basic and decent square tent without any extra fluff. This one isn't too bad--if you can get used to the rain fly.

My parents got me a geo tracker to help me save on gas but the speakers were all shot. being as it was meant to be a vehicle to save me money i didnt want to spend a lot of money on an audio system like i did with my truck (about a grand into it with subs and everything) so i saw this from planet audio and i've never had any problems with them before ,amps or speakers, so i decided at basically 5 bucks per speaker it couldn't possibly hurt to try. they sound amazing and im quite happy with them. they dont have absolute "you can feel it bass" but they sound very good for a 4 inch speaker and a sub of course will take care of the shaking :P

Coleman Evanston 8 Tent Review

Coleman Evanston 8 Tent
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Whenever I read a review this good, I always think that some body is working for the company so first let me assure you that I don't work for Coleman or Amazon. I ordered our new tent on Memorial Day and it arrived on the 3rd. GREAT SHIPPING! My son in law came to get our granddaughter at 5 and we set it up. It took us 40 minutes because the directions aren't crystal clear, but using the picture and my minimal knowledge of tents it went together. Next time will probably be 15 minutes. Anyway....the weather called for 0% chance of rain so I figured it could go up and be sealed, but within 30 minutes of going up we had the most "Gawd awful" storm I've seen in quite some time. The winds were bending over the maples in our yard so I looked out the kitchen window and the tent was flying. All the tent stakes with the exception of 3 rainfly stakes had come out of the ground and the tent looked like a tethered balloon hovering about 18" off the ground and was being whipped around so hard I actually thought of the wizard of oz. The sides were bending in and the rainfly was flapping and I thought "That's the fastest I've ever lost $200,and I'm going to have to go back to looking for a tent again." ( I spent several months reviewing and looking at tents that would hold all 6 of us and keep all the whiners happy over our two week camping trip through the mid west.) But anyway, the rain and hail subsided after an hour and a half, so I went out into the yard expecting a foot of water in the tent and rips throughout. NOT A DROP OF WATER! The tent was askew, the stakes out of the ground, a couple fiberglass tent poles were undone and flattened and the tarp underneath had blown out, but NO water. I'm amazed. I don't know how well it's going to work over a two week period but I'm sold. It hasn't been sealed yet, but I did get better tent stakes and will carry a plastic sheet or something to cover the extensive mesh top and keep heat in at night because it gets coooold in the desert at night, but I've made up my mind that I really love this tent! Who would have thought something made in China could make me happy?? We're ready to hit the road at the end of the month and I don't have to research tents anymore! The 12x12 is hard to find, but the smaller versions are everywhere. Buy it and love it!

Coleman Elite Sundome 6 Tent Review

Coleman Elite Sundome 6 Tent
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I am well pleased with the quality of the tent and the ease to assemble. As with all the tent manufacturer's ratings, this tent might be rated to sleep more than two people, but if you plan to store any gear or use airbeds, two people is the magic number of occupants that can comfortably use the tent.
The assembly is a piece of cake. We're in our 50's and hadn't assembled one of the newer style tents before purchasing this one. It takes about 10 minutes to assemble, once you've done it and see how things go.
The canvas carry bag is nice, but there isn't any "extra" room in it. You'll have a little work folding things tight enough to get back in the bag, but it all does fit nicely once you figure out the best method. Pay attention to how everything is stored and folded when you first unpack the tent.
Our first time out, we experienced severe storms with heavy rain and winds. Everything held perfectly water-tight. No leaks; no problems. The tent dried quickly in the sun in about 15 minutes. The dimensions of the storage bag allow us to easily carry this tent in our Bushtec motorcycle trailer, along with all the other necessary gear. We are well pleased.

This is a pretty nice tent as far as setup and looks. We used it for three nights and the first it flooded completely in the rain while my neighbors coleman stayed dry all night long. We even put a canopy over it the second night, and it still leaked. As far as fiting four people in this , it would be possible as long as your all in a sleepig bag. We used a air mattress(quenn size) and barely had room for our bags. The frame was quite sturdy and held up extremely well in the 20 mph winds we were having. I would recommend this tent only if you are going to use it in a dry climate or know for sure your not getting any rain.

Bern G2 Helmet Review

Bern G2 Helmet
Average Reviews:

Got the G2 with both the summer and winter liner, both of which snap in very easily. The winter liner keeps my head warm but it can get a little hot with the vents closed (even with the back two vents permanently open). Comfortable fit just use the size chart on the Bern website and order accordingly. Light enough for me but is certainly heavier than a road styled helmet. Wore it with the summer liner yesterday on an unseasonably warm 72 degree day with the vents wide open and did not get overheated. That said, would probably be a bit too warm when 90 degree temperatures arrive. Overall great product and would purchase again. Would have given 5 stars if vents could be a tad larger. P.S. Wore it in the rain last week and my head stayed dry with the vents closed, an added bonus.

Coleman Hooligan 2 Backpacking Tent Review

Coleman Hooligan 2 Backpacking Tent
Average Reviews:

I purchase this tent and used it the next day. The good: Lots of interior room, enough for 2 adults and 2 small backpacks. I was even able to fit a queen size coleman inflatable mattress inside(At home to test it)with room to spare. Very easy to set up, I read the instructions and timed myself, it took me 10 minutes. With screen mesh all around it was very comfortable, even with the Texas summer heat. Comes with a 5 year warranty. The bad: At 6 pounds Is a little on the heavy side for most solo backpackers(I personally don't mind the weight in exchange for all the room). The tent isn't free standing, make sure to get good stakes for hard or rocky ground. It didn't rain when I used it, so I can't comment on how waterproof it is, but I always seal the seams on all my tents as soon as I buy them.

About Coleman The Coleman Company has been creating and innovating products for recreational outdoor use since W.C. Coleman started selling gasoline-powered lanterns in 1900. Inventor of the hugely popular fold-up camp stove, Coleman developed a plastic liner for his galvanized steel coolers in 1957--the birth of the modern cooler--and the company has been improving their utility and design ever since. The array of products that bear the Coleman name now includes just about everything you might need to work or play outdoors, from tents and sleeping bags to boats, backpacks, and furniture.
Amazon.com Tent Guide Selecting a Tent Fortunately, there are all kinds of tents for weekend car campers, Everest expeditions, and everything in-between. Here are a few things to keep in mind:
Expect the Worst In general, it's wise to choose a tent that's designed to withstand the worst possible conditions you think you'll face. For instance, if you're a summer car camper in a region where weather is predictable, an inexpensive family or all purpose tent will likely do the trick--especially if a vehicle is nearby and you can make a mad dash for safety when bad weather swoops in! If you're a backpacker, alpine climber or bike explorer, or if you like to car camp in all seasons, you'll want to take something designed to handle more adversity.
Three- and Four-Season Tents For summer, early fall and late spring outings, choose a three-season tent. At minimum, a quality three season tent will have lightweight aluminum poles, a reinforced floor, durable stitching, and a quality rain-fly. Some three-season tents offer more open-air netting and are more specifically designed for summer backpacking and other activities. Many premium tents will feature pre-sealed, taped seams and a silicone-impregnated rain-fly for enhanced waterproofness.
For winter camping or alpine travel, go with a four season model. Because they typically feature more durable fabric coatings, as well as more poles, four-season tents are designed to handle heavy snowfall and high winds without collapsing. Of course, four-season tents exact a weight penalty of about 10 to 20 percent in trade for their strength and durability. They also tend to be more expensive.
Domes, Tunnels and Sacks Tents are broadly categorized into two types, freestanding, which can stand up on their own, and those that must be staked down in order to stand upright. Freestanding tents often incorporate a dome-shaped design, and most four-season tents are constructed this way because a dome leaves no flat spots on the outer surface where snow can collect. Domes are also inherently stronger than any other design. Meanwhile, many three-season models employ a modified dome configuration called a tunnel. These are still freestanding, but they require fewer poles than a dome, use less fabric, and typically have a rectangular floor-plan that offers less storage space than a dome configuration. Many one and two-person tents are not freestanding, but they make up for it by being more lightweight. Because they use fewer poles, they can also be quicker to set up than a dome.
Size Matters Ask yourself how many people you'd like to fit in your fabric hotel now and in the future. For soloists and minimalists, check out one-person tents. If you're a mega-minimalist, or if you have your eye on doing some big wall climbs, a waterproof-breathable bivy sack is the ticket. Some bivy sacks feature poles and stake points to give you a little more breathing room. Also, if you don't need bug protection and you want to save weight, check out open-air shelters.
Families who plan on car camping in good weather can choose from a wide range of jumbo-sized tents that will accommodate all your little ones with room to spare. A wide range of capacities is also available for three- and four-season backpacking and expedition tents. Remember, though, the bigger the tent you buy, the heavier it will be, although it's easy to break up the tent components among several people in your group. It's also helpful to compare the volume and floor-space measurements of models you're considering.

Kelty Grand Mesa 4 Tent - 4 Person Review

Kelty Grand Mesa 4 Tent - 4 Person
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I have been extremely pleased with this tent. It is spacious enough for my family of four and is very easy to set up. My ten and seven-year olds can pitch this tent almost completely by themselves. Hooks for the poles is a vast improvement over running poles through slits. The connections for the rainflap are very easy to use. The inside is pretty spacious. The one loop for a lantern is good, but would have liked one or two more. The storage compartments inside are sufficient, and between them and the space created when you close the rain flap we had all our gear out of the elements. Given the size of the tent it is not overly heavy, although I could not fit this in my pack using the bag is comes in. Instead I connected it via some extra straps on my pack and it worked just fine. We have had no issues with any component of this tent and would recommend it to other campers.
